In Spain, there are two ways to Play EuroMillions. You can purchase

in Spain. It's very simple: you ask the retailer for one or several automatic

EuroMillions bets, and the lottery machine will generate your EuroMillions

tickets instantly with random numbers.

For manual bets, you can choose your lucky numbers. It's straightforward:

on the EuroMillions form, you can fill in from 1 to 5 bets.

Simply mark your 5 favorite numbers and two favorite stars.

The next step is to approach the employee at the lottery retailer. There, you

will submit your form to be validated by the vending machine. Once

validated, you will receive your official EuroMillions ticket, which will be your

pass to participate in the draw. All this, of course, after making the

corresponding payment.

If you want to participate in the EuroMillions draw from the comfort of your

home, you can do so through the authorized website for Spain. However, to

do this, it's important to meet certain requirements:

Be at least 18 years old: The minimum age to participate in EuroMillions in

Spain is 18 years old.

Have a Spanish identification document: You must have a valid

identification document issued by the Spanish government to register and

play on the official website.

Have a bank account in Spain: It's necessary to have a bank account with

a Spanish bank to make transactions on the EuroMillions website.

Be physically in Spain: You must be in Spanish territory at the time of

purchasing your tickets online.

It's important to note that, even if you meet the requirements of having a

bank account in Spain and being of legal age, the lack of a Spanish

It's important to note that, in case of winning, the prizes for EuroMillions

tickets purchased in Spain must be collected exclusively in Spanish territory.

The EuroMillions tickets purchased in Spain are not valid for collection in

any other participating country in the EuroMillions draw.

If you win a prize in the EuroMillions draw with a ticket purchased in Spain,

the claiming process varies depending on the amount won:

For prizes up to 2000 euros, you can collect them at any of the more than

11,000 Lottery Administrations located throughout Spain. Payment can be

If your EuroMillions prize exceeds 2000 euros, you can only collect it at

In addition to the price of the EuroMillions ticket, you'll have to pay an

additional fee for the services provided. These services include visiting a

lottery administration in Spain to purchase the official EuroMillions tickets on

your behalf, scanning them for your verification, and managing the prizes if

you win.

This process is similar to having someone trustworthy in Spain purchase

EuroMillions tickets on your behalf, but with a guaranteed level of security

and reliability.

Yes, it's completely legal for a foreigner to play EuroMillions in Spain and

claim prizes. Anyone, regardless of nationality or country of residence, can

purchase a EuroMillions ticket in Spain, with the only requirement being of

legal age (18 years old).

Since 2011, Spain has had a specific law regulating Lotteries and

Games, known as Law 13/2011, of May 27. In its Article 6, paragraph 2, it

details all the circumstances in which participation in any type of lottery or

gambling in Spain is prohibited.

In this context, Article 6, paragraph 2, is explicit and does not prevent

foreigners from participating in the lotteries available in Spain, including

EuroMillions. The only requirement is to be over 18 years old.
